Poem: Pillow Rain

pillow-rain

Rain has poured on my pillow

Its heavy as the thunder
storm that brought it

It has poured endlessly, making my face like the sun

When one was alive, one was dying

When one was smiling, one was crying

When one was born, one was taking their last breathe

Speedily one have gained in measure

Speedily one have searched for wealth

Speedily one have sought to bare another man’s name

Speedily one have searched for solutions

Speedily one requested in prayers; even asking amiss

Speedily mankind asked and asked

Speedily mankind sought and sought after

Forgetting to inquire his real venture

Now mankind is no more man

He leaves unto another man what he got speedily

And over again our pillows are soaked with rain

For our loved ones
