We Aren’t As Different We Think

People trust their smart phones, more than the person he sees; he has begun a war which ever has been but is now no more a hidden tale of his human rights. He has inevitably perceived that his own kind is his worst enemy and he is suffering from post traumatic stress.

The perceptions today about who a man is has not only been limited to the way he speaks but also his skin color, his appearance and any other person’s appearance who may have his skin color or his nativity. The idea that one man is better than another does not even relate anymore to his background or his achievement, it goes way beyond that and sadly the problem begins at home.

Racism, religious conflict and nativity seem to be the badly informed subject that no one aside from rulers debate about. The way and manner in which people now see one another is more disturbing because without seeing you, they judge you. There are now more conclusions about who a person is or should be before we meet them and sadly, those who started the freedom rights don’t live in the small communities where it begins.

It is no more news, that most black people are considered drug dealers, gangsters, unsuccessful individuals who roam the society looking to make quick cash. It is also no more news that most Muslim males are seen as suicide bombers but who can blame those who have perceived this? The news has always been told to reveal happenings and so they do.

The idea of how things should be done no more applies because it is even discriminating for a white lady to be seen with a black man or a black man to be seen as a friend of a white man. It is unappealing for a black man to be the boss; not because he isn’t fit to be but because people just see it as a wrong idea and all these and more prove the extent to which many and more people are ignorant of the fact that not only are people human, we also have the same blood colour.

It may be called racism but it can be because of inferiority complex, it may be called religious conflict but it can be that someone does some kind of brain washing to other people, it may be called a belief that everyone from a certain community does this and that so don’t trust them but it can also be because one is ignorant of what people are.

A child who is born neither knows color, time, space, race, religion or danger; he or she grows into the society and whatever we teach it, it perceives and sends out to the society. When a child is born, whatever color it is or whatever religion/ nativity or parental background no one ever understands their language; science may claim it can use a technology to assert what a child says but what child can say “nurse he’s black get him out of the ward?”

Our backgrounds have patterned our lives to believe in whom we can relate with or date or even trust, sadly so does the society and its tales. We are beginning to blame others for what happen in our community. Like always, we never blame ourselves and our actions and decisions.

Racism and religious conflict can be controlled but it may never come to an end. People separate themselves from whoever they think can or would be a threat but no man can be man all by himself.  We often fear what we don’t understand and the truth is; when you ignore others either by what is happening to them or what you think might happen to them if they do not perform certain things, you suffer for it at the end.

We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are…
