Somebody said that it couldn’t be done, but with a smile on his face, he said I won’t say that, till I try to do it. He buckled right up and went on doing it. If he worried, he hid it- he would sing when he thought it was impossible to hide his fears, with a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, without any doubt he sang as he tackled the thing that couldn’t be done.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, there are thousands to prophesy failure; there are thousands to point out to you, one by one, the dangers that wait to assail you. But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, just take off your coat and go to it; start to sing/pray/hustle/believe/speak positive as you tackle the thing that ‘cannot be done,’ and you’ll do it.
Once upon a time, there was a man called job, he was a rich man, he had children, who partied, who did what ever they liked, of cos job was a man that worshiped God, not that he went to church on Sunday, he wasn’t a pastor but job was a man knew there was a supreme God. Job was a man always scared, he thought the worse would happen to his children, he thought the worse would happen to him and as his thoughts would have it, everything fell apart for him, he’s children died in one day, his business collapsed and he became sick. His friends came and preached to him- job was a man of little words, he was always calm, his wife told him to curse God and die, people questioned his faith, his sickness grew worse and people pitied him. A time had come that and job was tired, he was weary and was tired of his situation, he had no more strength in him and like every being, job was at his wits end, he was indeed ready to die, he had waited and was willing to wish he was never born but God spoke to him, God asked him; do you know how the sun was formed? Do you know how the night drew near? God told him he brought the calamity he had by his fears and that he could take over his sickness and life by speaking life to himself, he said he had the power of life in his tongue and that healing was all his.
Job got healed and the bible says he was richer than before, he had double of all he lost before and no girl on this earth was or is as beautiful as the children he had in his later years.
Its easy to go on when things are going good; it is easy to smile when you have a job but it can become more easy when you appreciate what you have. We can’t have it all at the same time, we can’t earn a degree and a post graduate degree at one sitting- speaking positive may seem silly sometimes but if you keep giving up on it, are you sure it won’t give up on you? Keep a high spirit, recession or not, use your talent to do something and with time, who knows someone would promote you for it. Just don’t give up and always appreciate and hold on to what you have…
Proverbs 18: 21- What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.
