Poem: If We Walk Down This Aisle

image_20170727_190606

You will see me bare
Clean and vulnerable
Dirty and menstrating
Bad looking and cute
Snort and break the wind
You will see me stool
And watch me go sore
As my hormones give way
I may call you inconsiderate
But we will laugh at and with ourselves
We will loathe ourselves on some days
And won’t be adorable everyday
We will dine and make a bowl for one another
And no price will be given
We will get and miss some days and dates
We will stumble and marvel one another
As we still dance in the mud
We will want no one else to know everything
We will fill ourselves with endless chores called purpose
We will act a fool and seem so to others
The expected and unexpected will happen
If we walk down this isle.
