Poem: Demon

image_20170719_181442

My demon got me again
So I sent you packing,
I knew you would want me
But like the others I wasn’t sure you could stay.
Others said a thousand times
That they would stay
If I asked them to
That they will wait a little longer
But I knew they couldn’t
I knew too well what my demons did
I knew too well no one would stay,
Stay when my demons came.
I know who is strong for this
And weak for that
I know what my demons want
Anyone could stay
Even if I never wanted them to leave
But my demon sends them packing
Not me, but my demon.
