Poem: Minders

They shunned me like a plague, lon.jpg

Tossing and turning their kindness

Like a lending hand meant sin to them

Playing sympathy but having no empathy

Running from my presence

With refusals to render help

Like it took mercy from them

Here on a mountain, they come rushing to me

Like a sister to Job

Seeking to make up for the day

They left me to death

A day I knew too well but see as a dream today
