Poem: Rock Tears

I cried hard yesterday; rock tears

I cried so hard my soul screamed

I cried hard till my eyes got a bump

I cried hard and my head felt like thunder had struck it

Truly I cried hard,

It really was rock solid tears

Rock tears that my voice ached

But what joy I felt

Even with the hard tears

Oh what joy!

Salvation joy

Sweet and holy joy

Mercy receiving joy

Compassionate joy

For the master’s love

Love that filling without a taste of food

Joy of unanswered prayers

Prayers I once wished if answered were my best bet

Oh what joy,

Joy in the midst of hard tears

Rock tears that was as the presence of heaven to me
