Poem: Forget Not

100.jpgForget not the days when thou cried to the lord

When thou wouldn’t sit with pride or play a harlot

Because fame became a new garment

Seeking after him like one seeking for breathe,

Because life and everything one wanted in it wasn’t as it should be

When one revised his words and sang his songs to invite his presence

Staying away from sin that pollutes the soul

When humility filled your every word and we knew too well

To pinch the cow that gave milk

The bible that changed the soul

Brightened the eye

Forget not grace

Forget not forgiveness that brings one to his presence when one’ sin is as old as Methuselah

Forget not the one who lends a helping hand as an angel when a friend wouldn’t

And forever seek the lord like breathe depended on him
